1. Summary
Wortkessel does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, third-party analytics cookies or cross-service tracking on the website. We use only essential cookies and local storage needed for the website, web app and mobile app to work correctly.
2. Data stored on your device
- Session cookies and sign-in tokens for authentication, account protection and the web app.
- Interface preferences such as the selected website theme.
- Local app database and cache for progress, dictionary content, preferences, audio and sync queues.
- Cookie-notice acknowledgement so the information banner is not shown on every visit.
3. Consent
Separate consent is usually not required when on-device storage is strictly necessary for a requested service such as sign-in, security, saving preferences or offline use. The banner is informational and is not consent to advertising or third-party tracking.
If optional analytics, advertising or marketing cookies are added in the future, we will update this page and provide a choice before those categories are used.
4. Removing local data
You can clear cookies and local storage in browser settings. Mobile app data is normally removed by uninstalling the app or through system storage settings. Removing local data does not necessarily delete server-side account data. Use Profile → Account → Delete Account in the app or visit the account deletion page.
